Black 2 Comm is a genre free radio show produced and presented by Paul Jackson. Each track connects to the following in a running order that switches between musical styles, dates and audio quality - often leading to strange and unlikely musical pairings. Avoiding the restrictions of mainstream radio play-listing and genre based programming, the sequence carves its own unique path through pop culture. It is broadcast live at 8 o'clock on Sunday evenings on Resonance 104.4 FM (in central London) and can be streamed from resonancefm.com.

Black 2 Comm 18th September 2016

Featuring The Stranglers, Carla Thomas, Frank Zappa and many others. Cheque out this rare, early footage of Washington DC punk rockers Bad Brains performing "At The Movies" back in 1979 (before they all sprouted dreadlocks). The picture and sound quality is a little rough but stick with it until singer / frontman HR's impressive back-flip at the very end.

Black 2 Comm 11th September 2016

Featuring Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Chocolate Watch Band, Mikey Dread and many others. Cheque out this rare footage of the classic Television line up performing live (on The Old Grey Whistle Test in 1978). The band were soon to split due to tensions caused by singer Tom Verlaine's uncompromising artistic vision and guitarist Richard Lloyd's drug problems.

Black 2 Comm 4th September 2016

Featuring Jefferson Airplane, GG Allin, Julian Cope and many others. Check out this classic footage of James Brown and the Famous Flames sending the crowd into a frenzy on the T.A.M.I. show in 1964. Also on the bill were Chuck Berry, Marvin Gaye, The Supremes and a young British group called the Rolling Stones who unfortunately had to follow James Brown's electrifying performance . . . watch and learn!
